BV Srinivas, head of the Congress party’s youth wing, emphasized the failure of “nationalist Indian media channels” to hold a prime-time debate on Malik’s accusations.
The earlier Congress President Rahul Gandhi responded on Saturday to previous Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik’s saying that the February 2019 Pulwama terror attack, which killed 40 soldiers, was the result of the Narendra Modi government’s “incompetence” and massive intelligence failure.
Sharing an interview with The Wire, Rahul Gandhi stated on Twitter, “The Prime Minister doesn’t dislike corruption very much.”
Rahul also shared a video of the interview on Twitter.
On its official Twitter feed, the Congress party reiterated Malik’s charges and accused Modi of “suppressing” the incident in order to “save” his private image before of the 2019 general elections.
“@narendramodi Ji, the Pulwama attack and the martyrdom of 40 courageous hearts are the result of your government’s error. The terrorist scheme would have collapsed if our jawans had obtained the aircraft. You had to take action because of this error, and you not only repressed the matter but also began storing your photograph. Satyapal Malik‘s comment on Pulwama has shaken the country,” the post added in Hindi.
According to Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) the leader Sanjay Raut, while Malik revealed the “explosive truth about Pulwama,” opposition leaders who asked these questions in the days following of the attack “had been silenced by the ruling BJP” and labeled as “traitors” and “speaking in the voice of Pakistan.”
