Raju Punjabi, a popular Haryanvi singer known for songs such as ‘Desi Desi’ and ‘Aacha Lage Se,’ has died at the age of 40.
Raju Punjabi, a Haryanvi singer, died at a private hospital in Hisar at the age of 40. He had been undergoing treatment for jaundice for many days before his death, according to ANI.
Raju’s health originally improved throughout therapy, allowing him to be discharged from the hospital. He did, however, decline and had to be readmitted. The singer’s funeral will take place in his birthplace of Rawatsar, Rajasthan.
Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Minister of Haryana, extended his condolences, calling Raju Punjabi’s death an “irreparable loss” to the Haryana music industry.
He announced on X (previously Twitter) that he has learned of the death of legendary Haryanvi musician and music producer Raju Punjabi. He stated that his death was an irreplaceable loss to the Haryana music business. He prayed to God to provide the departed soul a seat at His holy feet and to give the family members the strength to bear this enormous sadness. He ended with the words “Om Shanti.”
KD Desi Rock, a singer, sent an Instagram photo of Raju in his hospital bed with the remark, “Raju vapis aaja.”
Many of Raju’s followers were devastated by the news, with one saying, “Hariyana industry ka kala din bahut bada loss hai pure hariyane ko jiski purti sayad hi ho paye,” and another, “Diamond of Haryana”… Rip legend.”
Another person said, “A great tragedy in the world of music, our dear brother Raju Punjabi ji, the king of tunes Har Dil Aziz, has said goodbye to the world.” One person said, “Very sad news Renowned Haryanvi singer #RajuPunjabi ji is no longer with us today.” Raju Punjabi, the father of three tiny children, was unique in the Haryanvi industry.” A lot of people on social media shared their sympathy.
Many singers gathered in Hisar after his death to offer their respects. His most recent release was “Aapse Milke Yaara Humko Accha Laga Tha.”
Raju Punjabi was a well-known character in the Haryanvi music business, well-known for songs like “Desi Desi,” “Aacha Lage Se,” “Tu Cheez Lajawab,” “Bhang Mere Yaara Ne,” and “Last Peg,” among others.
