What Is Unmadham About?
The story follows Shelly, a police officer who has grown frustrated with his routine job and dreams of becoming a screenwriter. He eventually takes a year away from work to pursue his writing ambitions.
However, financial difficulties force Shelly to return to the police department. After making a mistake at work, he is transferred to a remote police station, where he comes across an old case file involving the mysterious death of a young woman.
The case has gained a reputation among the officers, with others reluctant to reopen it. Shelly, however, becomes increasingly interested in the mystery. His curiosity is partly driven by his belief that the case could provide material for the screenplay he wants to write.
But the investigation soon takes an unsettling turn.

As Shelly digs deeper into the abandoned case, he begins experiencing disturbing visions and nightmares. His investigation starts blurring the boundaries between the case, the screenplay he is writing and his own memories.
The situation also begins affecting his personal life. His wife Soumya notices changes in his behaviour, creating further tension in their relationship.
What initially looks like an old unsolved case gradually becomes something much more personal for Shelly. His search for answers forces him to confront a darker truth while questioning his own perception of what is real.
