UPSC has announced the results of the civil services preliminary examination, with 14,624 applicants qualifying

More than 14,600 applicants qualified for the 2023 civil services preliminary test, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) said on June 12.

The civil services examination is held every year in three stages to choose officers for services such as the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), and the Indian Police Service (IPS).

On May 28, the preliminary test for civil service in 2023 was held.

The list of successful applicants, which includes serial numbers, roll numbers, and names, has been posted on the UPSC website, and it shows that 14,624 people passed the preliminary test.

“These candidates’ candidature is provisional.” According to the examination norms, all of these candidates must reapply in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the civil services (main) examination, 2023,” the UPSC said in a statement.

The deadlines and relevant instructions for completing the DAF-I and submitting it will be notified on the commission’s website in due course.

“Candidates are also informed that marks, cut-off marks, and answer keys of the CS (P) Examination, 2023, will be uploaded on the commission’s website, https://upsc.gov.in, only after the entire procedure of the civil services examination, 2023, is over, i.e. after the declaration of the final result,” the UPSC stated.

On its facilities at Dholpur House on Shahjahan Road, the commission operates a facilitation desk beside the test hall building.

Candidates can get information or clarification about their results in person on all working days between 10 a.m. and 5 a.m., or by phoning the counter at 011-23098543, 011-23385271, or 011-23381125.
