The Kannada-language prequel to the 2022 hit Kantara pulled in an impressive Rs 12.5 crore on its third Saturday, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 506.25 crore. That’s massive, even by pan-India standards.

The film’s gripping folklore-driven story and Rishab Shetty’s powerful direction have clearly struck a chord with audiences. With an IMDb rating of 8.6, Kantara Chapter 1 continues to enjoy packed theatres across the country. It also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram in pivotal roles.

They Call Him OG slows down after solid start

Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG has had an eventful run. After opening to high expectations on September 25, the film has now collected Rs 293.65 crore worldwide.

Its India net stands at Rs 191.5 crore, while overseas collections total Rs 65.25 crore. Despite mixed reviews and an IMDb score of 6.8, the action-packed entertainer continues to draw fans, thanks to Kalyan’s star power.

Directed by Sujeeth, the Telugu-language film also features Emraan Hashmi and Priyanka Arulmohan in key roles.

Jolly LLB 3 shows signs of fatigue after 30 days
