The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Information Bulletin, outlining the complete counselling process, important dates, eligibility guidelines and several new changes aimed at making admissions smoother for candidates across the country.
Candidates planning to participate in the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) counselling are advised to read the information bulletin carefully before completing registration. Apart from AIQ seats, the counselling process will also cover admissions to AIIMS, JIPMER, Central Universities, ESIC institutes, AFMC (through MCC) and deemed universities.

MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Schedule
The first round of counselling will begin this week. Here’s the official schedule:
- Registration: August 5 to August 12, 2026 (up to 3 PM)
- Choice Filling & Locking: August 6 to August 13, 2026 (up to 11 AM)
- Seat Allotment Result: August 17, 2026
- Reporting to Allotted College: August 18 to August 22, 2026
Candidates are encouraged not to wait until the final day for registration or choice filling to avoid last-minute technical issues.
Biggest Change: One-Time Physical Reporting
One of the biggest changes introduced this year is the One-Time Physical Reporting system.
Earlier, candidates who accepted an upgraded seat in later counselling rounds often had to report physically to multiple colleges during the admission process. Under the revised system, students opting for seat upgradation will complete most admission formalities online and will need to report physically only once—at the college where they finally secure admission.
The move is expected to reduce unnecessary travel, paperwork and expenses for students and their families.

The MCC counselling process will be conducted for admissions to:
