The Election Commission of India has made the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) enumeration process simpler this year by enabling citizens to complete the entire procedure online. Voters no longer need to download or print forms—everything from form filling to Aadhaar-based e-sign can now be done directly on the official ECI portal.
Online SIR Filing Made Simpler
The online enumeration system is fully managed by the Election Commission, ensuring smoother data verification and faster updates in the electoral roll. Users simply have to visit voters.eci.gov.in or the CEO/ECI portal and choose the “Fill Enumeration Form” option under the Services section.

One important requirement: your EPIC (Elector’s Photo Identity Card) must be linked to your mobile number before submitting the form. Without this, the system won’t allow e-sign submission.

What Is EPIC and Why You Need It?
An EPIC is a unique 10-digit voter identification number issued by the Election Commission. Every voter must use this number to fill up the enumeration form—whether online or through their Booth Level Officer (BLO). The EC has made EPIC–mobile linking mandatory to ensure accuracy and prevent duplicate entries in the voter list.
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Fill SIR Enumeration Form Online
- Go to voters.eci.gov.in
- Click “Fill Enumeration Form”
- Enter your mobile number or EPIC number
- Select your state and validate your EPIC
- Your details will appear—cross-check everything
- If your EPIC isn’t linked with your mobile, link it instantly using Form-8
- Click Correction of Entries in Existing Electoral Roll
- Choose Mobile Number option
- After linking, log in again
- Fill the SIR enumeration form, including previous revision details
- Submit using Aadhaar-based e-sign
- Make sure your name matches exactly on EPIC and Aadhaar
Once done, your form goes for verification, and you’ll get the updated status online.
How to Check If Your Enumeration Form Has Been Uploaded
Whether you submitted your form through a BLO or online, here’s how you can confirm if it’s been uploaded to the ECI database:
- Visit voters.eci.gov.in
- Click Fill Enumeration Form
- Sign up with your mobile number (or log in if registered)
- Enter the OTP to access your account
- Click Fill Enumeration Form again
- Type your EPIC number
- Hit Search
If your form is uploaded, you’ll see a message saying:
“Your form has already been submitted with mobile number XXXXX…”
If not, a fresh form page will open, indicating it hasn’t been uploaded yet.
In case the mobile number shown is wrong or the status seems incorrect, the safest move is to contact your local BLO immediately
Why This Online System Matters
The digital SIR process cuts down paperwork, reduces errors, and ensures quicker entries into the electoral roll. For millions preparing for the next electoral cycle, this shift makes updating voter details far more convenient and transparent.
