Ram Charan released the trailer for ‘The India House,’ named after Veer Savarkar’s London headquarters, and revealed that the film will star Nikhil Siddhartha (whose Netaji Subhas Bose-centric ‘Spy’ is much anticipated) and Anupam Kher, and will be directed by Ram Vamsi Krishna.

‘The India House’ is situated in London during pre-independence. The teaser suggests a film about a love tale unfolding in the midst of political turbulence in the vicinity of India House. It was, by the way, a house for Indian students maintained by Shyamji Krishna Varma, a nationalist lawyer and editor of the ‘Indian Sociologist’.

Mahatma Gandhi had a furious debate with Shyamji Krishna Varma concerning revolution vs nonviolence, which inspired him to pen his 1909 manifesto ‘Hind Swaraj’.
