Vikrant Massey Poses with ‘Real Hero’ IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma following his Filmfare award

Vikrant Massey received widespread critical acclaim for his performance as IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma in 12th Fail. The actor just received the Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Critics) for his role in 12th Fail. On Tuesday, the actor turned to Instagram to congratulate the creators for making his ‘childhood fantasy into a reality.’ He also posted a photo with Manoj Kumar Sharma following the victory.

Vikrant took to Instagram to share a photo of his Filmfare award with the caption, “We’re home. FINALLY!!! (red heart emoji) Thank you @vidhuvinodchoprafilms @zeestudiosofficial & @filmfare for making my childhood dream become a reality.” On his Instagram Stories, Vikrant shared a selfie with IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma. They both smiled at the camera and clutched the prize together. “Asli hero (real hero)!” he captioned the photo.

Reacting to Vikrant’s tweet, actor-director Konkona Sen Sharma, who directed him in A Death in the Gunj, said, “So proud of you my Shutuuuu!! Congratulations!!” Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte responded with red heart emojis. Meanwhile, Gulshan Devaiah stated, “Push limits and smash barriers. “See you at the movies.” Sonakshi Sinha remarked, “I saw the movie last night, Vikrant!!! You were amazing and deserved all you got!!!”

Meanwhile, IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma shared the photo with Vikrant on his X account, writing, “When one Manoj comes to another Manoj to show his Filmfare trophy, then the love grows even more).”

12th Fail triumphed big at the recently completed 69th Filmfare Awards, taking home Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Critics), Best Editing, and Best Screenplay.

Vikrant-starrer 12th Fail is about UPSC hopefuls and is based on true stories. The video depicts the challenges of millions of students taking the UPSC entrance test. It tells the story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame poverty to become an IPS officer. Based on Anurag Pathak’s novel, Vikrant is portrayed as a young Chambal youngster who wishes to join the police force.
