Rahul Sadasivan’s horror film Bramayugam came out this Thursday. The film, starring Mammootty, follows the story of a monk named Kodumon Potty. Fans took to X to share their reviews of the film, with some praising it for the lead actor’s performance and the first half, whereas others thought it was a bore.
One fan commented that the film’s first half was so scary, that they ‘screamed’ every time Mammootty came on-screen. They wrote, “#Bramayugam – First Half Review – I yelled out of fear 8 times whenever #Mammootty appeared.” His character is so creepy and scary!! The person sitting beside me nearly had a heart attack in one scene…that was the scariest scene of the movie. Superb Movie. (sic)

Another fan noted that the first half of Bramayugam was so wonderful that they couldn’t help but leave a review, saying, “Normally I don’t post reviews about the first half, but for this one I had to. The director’s finest decision was to make this picture in black and white. Mammukka, you are beyond limitations. I eagerly await the second part. “Age of Madness.”
One fan said that while the film is sluggish, Mammootty’s acting improves it, adding, “#Bramayugam First Half – Decent so far. The movie is poorly paced, with the first 30 minutes taking too long to set up the narrative!! Following that, the film becomes quite fascinating, with an outstanding performance by #Mammootty. Every scenario becomes ellobarated. The visual and audio quality was excellent. It gets more interesting toward the interval point.”
