The biggest headline from June’s sales report came from the TVS iQube.

The electric scooter climbed to fourth place with 47,331 units, a massive jump from 14,244 units in June 2025. That works out to an impressive 232% year-on-year growth, making it the fastest-growing scooter among the top ten models.

Strong customer acceptance, expanding charging infrastructure and growing demand for electric two-wheelers have helped the iQube emerge as one of India’s leading EV scooters.

Bajaj Chetak Continues Electric Momentum

The Bajaj Chetak secured fifth place with 40,376 units, up significantly from 17,864 units during the same period last year.

Electric Scooters Continue to Gain Ground

June 2026 highlighted an important shift in India’s scooter market. Petrol-powered models like the Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter and Suzuki Access still account for the highest overall sales volumes, but electric scooters are growing at a much faster pace.

TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Ather Rizta all featured among the top seven best-selling scooters, reflecting changing consumer preferences, expanding charging infrastructure and improved product offerings. If this trend continues, the gap between conventional and electric scooters is likely to narrow further in the coming months.
