Kane Williamson demonstrated his outstanding abilities by leading New Zealand to win in the second Test against South Africa in Hamilton.
Chasing 267, Williamson came in at No.3 and scored 133*, including 12 fours and two sixes, to lead the Black Caps to a 2-0 triumph.

This historic triumph was New Zealand’s first series victory against South Africa in Men’s Test cricket, capping a 92-year wait for such a significant feat.
Williamson coordinated the fourth-most successful pursuit in New Zealand by the Black Caps and the fifth-most overall.
Williamson scored his 32nd Test century, surpassing Joe Root’s century count last week and becoming the highest-scoring active player. With this achievement in 172 innings, he became the quickest to 32 Test hundreds by innings, surpassing Steve Smith, who did it in 174 innings.
Williamson’s fifth century in the fourth innings of a Test match ties him with the great Younis Khan for the most final-innings centuries. Remarkably, four of his five fourth-inning hundreds have come in successful run chases, with the most recent against South Africa adding to the outstanding total.
Kane Williamson has recently demonstrated extraordinary form, scoring eight centuries, including two double-hundreds, in his past ten Test matches. Despite sustaining a devastating knee injury during the Indian Premier League, which almost cost him a berth in the World Cup squad, the 33-year-old returned triumphantly to Test cricket, demonstrating his unshakeable brilliance in the longer format.
Despite being on the sidelines at the time, Kane Williamson rose to the top of the ICC Men’s Test Batters’ Rankings after Joe Root’s form slipped in July. However, since his comeback to Test cricket following an injury, Williamson has been in a league of his own, with a significant lead at the top of 883 rating points, a large margin over Steve Smith in second place (818 points).
