Marathi entertainment industry is in mourning. Veteran actress Jyoti Chandekar, best known for her role as Purna Aaji in the TV show ‘Tharla Tar Mag’, has passed away at the age of 68.
Her daughter, actress Tejaswini Pandit, confirmed the heartbreaking news on social media late Saturday night. She shared her mother’s picture with the note that the last rites would take place on Sunday, August 17, at 11 am in Pune.

While the exact cause of death hasn’t been officially disclosed, reports suggest Jyoti Chandekar had been unwell for the last several days and was undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, her health took a turn for the worse, and she breathed her last on Saturday night.
