Tata Motors just dropped the Harrier EV, and it’s packing some serious heat—505 km of real-world range, a massive touchscreen, and even a lifetime battery warranty. Priced between ₹21.49 lakh and ₹27.49 lakh (ex-showroom), this electric SUV is aiming straight at the heart of India’s premium EV market.
What’s the Price?
The Harrier EV comes in five trims, starting with the base Adventure (₹21.49 lakh) and going up to the fully-loaded Empowered (₹27.49 lakh). The top model gets a bigger 75 kWh battery, while the lower trims make do with a 65 kWh pack. Oh, and if you want an AC fast charger, that’s extra—Tata hasn’t bundled it in.
How Far Can It Really Go?
Tata’s claiming an ARAI-certified 627 km range, but let’s be real—you’re probably getting 480-505 km in everyday driving. Still, that’s plenty for a weekend road trip. Need a quick top-up? A 15-minute fast charge can juice you up for another 250 km (in ideal conditions, of course).

Performance: Speed Meets Smarts
Right now, only the RWD (rear-wheel drive) version is up for grabs, but Tata’s teasing an AWD (all-wheel drive) model soon. That one’s gonna be a beast—396 PS, 504 Nm torque, and a 0-100 kmph sprint in 6.3 seconds (making it the quickest in its class). Plus, it’s got six terrain modes and fancy Frequency Dependent Damping suspension for smoother rides on rough roads.
Tech That Feels Futuristic
- 14.53-inch QLED touchscreen (biggest in the segment)
- 10-speaker JBL Black sound system with Dolby Atmos
- e-Valet auto park assist (because parallel parking is the worst)
- 540-degree camera with underbody view (no more hidden curbs)
- Digi Access digital key (unlock your car with your phone)
- DrivePay for in-car toll and service payments

Lifetime Battery Warranty? Yes, But…
Here’s the catch—the lifetime battery warranty only applies to the first owner. Still, it’s a solid move by Tata to ease range anxiety and boost confidence in long-term EV ownership.
When Can You Book One?
Mark your calendars:
- Bookings open July 2, 2025 (for the RWD model)
- AWD variant prices revealed June 27, 2025
Final Verdict
The Harrier EV looks like a strong contender in India’s growing electric SUV space. With decent range, premium features, and Tata’s reliability rep, it’s got a lot going for it. The only question now—will it dethrone the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and MG ZS EV? We’ll find out soon.
