On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with ISRO scientists who were instrumental in the mission’s success. PM Modi was greeted warmly as he arrived at the ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru today. ISRO Chairman S Somanath informed PM Modi on the voyage of the Chandrayaan-3 Mission and the efforts of scientists who contributed to the mission. Prior to addressing the ISRO scientists, the Prime Minister hoisted the slogan ‘Jai Vigyan Jai Anusandhan’ and hailed Bengaluru residents outside HAL airport upon his arrival.
“I couldn’t stop myself because I wasn’t in the country,” PM Modi said upon his arrival in Bengaluru, “but I chose to visit Bengaluru first and meet our scientists right after visiting India.”

PM Modi declares August 23 to be “National Space Day.”
PM Modi said on Saturday at ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru that August 23 would be designated as ‘National Space Day’ to commemorate the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3 mission’s lander.
‘My heart was with you (ISRO scientists),’ she said.
PM Modi stated that even though he was in another country for a global summit, his heart remained in India and with ISRO.
‘I urgently wanted to meet you (ISRO scientists).’
PM Modi stated that as soon as he arrived in India after finishing his two-nation visit (South Africa and Greece), he wanted to see the ISRO scientists who are responsible for the Chandrayaan-3 mission’s success.
‘We have reached a significant milestone.’
PM Modi expressed delight in the achievement of the Chandrayaan-3 mission while speaking to ISRO scientists in Bengaluru on Saturday. “We have arrived in an unexplored region,” he remarked. We have achieved remarkable achievement.”

Following the accomplishment of ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 mission, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India will tackle more complicated and larger global challenges.
PM Modi names the ‘Shivshakti’ landing site on the Moon for Chandrayaan-3.
PM Modi at ISRO headquarters declared that the spot where Chandrayaan-3 landed on the Moon, will be dubbed ‘Shivshakti’.
‘Our scientists constructed an artificial Moon.’
PM Modi praised ISRO scientists, saying, “Our scientists built an artificial Moon at the ISRO research facility to test the lander’s soft landing.” The lander was almost certain to succeed because it had passed multiple tests before traveling there (to the Moon).”
Tiranga Point will be named after the Chandrayaan-2 landing.

PM Modi also stated that the location of Chandrayaan-2’s imprint on the lunar surface in 2019 will be called as ‘Tiranga Point.’
